PROJECT SUMMARY

The project consisted of 7,987 SF first LVL and a 4,267 SF Mezzanine LVL. The project to be located in a desert atmosphere at the travel rout from San Bernardino to Los Angeles, where traffic stop and rest area at the monumental Dinosaur expedition. The first LVL to include a dates Shake food services, cold room, food prep area,, public restrooms, and retail groceries shop. The Mezzanine LVL to include offices for general manager, office for cubicle design, large two conference rooms, and storage. The client requested a continuous visual observation of the retail area from the offices and one of the conference rooms. The desert harsh windy climate has mandated a design to a accommodate a reduction in energy consumption and lighting needs. The higher ceiling in at the retail space was designed to lower the energy needed to cool during the day time, and the double use of the clear story window was carefully designed to allow for the possible continuous observation of the retail area form the offices and allowing the day light to inter into the office spaces.
